Route
- Race route leads through the territory of Egererdő Zrt. and 90% of officially designated trekking trails. The routes are designated by the organizers if necessary.
- It is forbidden to leave the marked paths!

TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
- The participant has to be aware about the trail’s specialties such as the distance, difficulty and has to be physically/mentally prepared for the event.
- The participant must have necessary mountaineering skills and the required equipment
- The participant must be able to manage any mental, physical and digestive problem, without assistance.
- Runners have to possess all mandatory equipment (see below) during the whole course. Organizers are free to check it anytime. Preventing or refusing the check will result in immediate disqualification.
- Crew assistance is only permitted at aid stations.
- Upon leaving the aid station the runner has to be sure that his/her supplies (food and drinks) are sufficient until the next refreshment point.
- The participant is not allowed to be accompanied along any part of the race route by a person not registered for the race.
- Children under the age of 14 can take part in Bükki Kilátások Sprint Trail only if they are accompanied by an adult.
- Children under the age of 18 can not participate in Bükki Kilátások Hard and Fun run trails.
- Athletes charged with violation of anti-doping rules are prohibited from participating in all Bükk Trail events.
MANDATORY GEAR
Participants of the Bükk Trails are required to carry the mandatory equipment through the whole course. This equipment is the bare minimum that all runners are expected to have and can be extended based on their individual needs.
Mandatory gear is automatically checked by ranking runners, even after the finish line (too)!

ENTRY
- Participant automatically accepts all the race rules and etiquette by registering.
- Registration is only possible via www.bukktrail.hu from, 12:00 31th of january 2022. to 12:00 25th of february 2022.
- Onsite registration is not possible!

TERMS OF REGISTRATION
Registration to the event is validated in the following way:
- Register online at www.bukktrail.hu with your personal data and transfer the entry fee to the given account number in 5 days (till 12:00 25th February,2022 the latest). Please add your name and course to the remark field.

CANCELLATION POLICY
- Registration can be cancelled only via e-mail (bozso.zoltan.esp@gmail.com) until 12:00 25th of february 2022.
- In this case the full registration fee is returned except for 1,000 HUF that we retain as an administration cost.
- Cancellation in any other forms (phone, fax, in person) is not accepted.
- Redirecting the entry fee to another course or event is not possible.
PASSING OVER THE RIGHT OF REGISTRATION FOR A SUBSTITUTE RUNNER
Passing over the right of registration can be requested only via e-mail (bozso.zoltan.esp@gmail.com) until 12:00 27th of february 2022. It must be claimed by the cancelling runner.
The transfer e-mail must contain the new contestant’s name, date of birth, e-mail address and the chosen meal.
CONTENT OF THE ENTRY FEE
- Individual race bib
- Itiner.
- Timing.
- Refreshments at aid points during the race and a warm meal at the finish
- Shower and baggage storage.
PRIZES
- The first 3 male and female finishers on each course will be awarded additional prizes.
- Runners arriving after the cut off time are not eligible for prizes.
- Unique rewards for all finishers in all distances
- A special segment competition is also announced for the fastest female and male runners to complete certain segments of FunRun and Hard Trail, for a special prize. All participants who cross the finishline in less than 20% time difference compared to the category winner are eligible to participate. Race segments:

RACE PACKET AND BIB
You can pick up your race packet at the race check-in desk only by presenting a valid, government issued photo ID. No race packets will be handed out without valid identification!
The race bib should be worn on a well visible place thoughout the race.
Altering the race bib or covering the runner’s name and sponsor logos are forbidden.
Race packet pick up:
- Hard 6:30 – 7:15 at the start area
- Fun Run 7:45 – 8:45 at the start area
- Sprint: 9:00 – 9:45 at the start area
The following areas can be used only by runners with race bibs:
- Start and Finish area
- Aid stations
- Baggage area
- Showers
- Hot meal at the Finish area.
TIMING
- Timing is carried out with SI System.
- The deposit for the personal chip is 5.000 HUF, which must be paid at once.
- Prepare the exact amount, a single 5.000 HUF banknote.
- We are going to refuse money exchange or to accept any kind of valuables as a deposit.
- Participants will get their deposit back at the finish zone after handing the timing chips back.
- It is the participant’s responsibility to preserve and to return the chip.
AID Stations
Access to aid station is restricted to participants with visibly placed race bibs. The following refreshments will be offered at the aid stations: water, isotonic drink, coke, sweet and salty crackers, cheese, fruits and dried fruits too.
There will be no disposable cups placed at the aid stations. care for the environment and bring your own reusable one.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Professional first aid service will be available during the race. However, participants must keep in mind, that the time getting to the casualty may vary depending on the track and distance. All participants are supposed to treat their own and other’s health specially, and to assist fellow runners in case of an emergency.
CHECKPOINTS
- We will maintain checkpoints through the track along the course where the crossing times are recorded.
- The organizers reserve the right to operate unannounced checkpoints.
- Organizers reserve the right to change or alter any parts of the course, places of aid stations, checkpoints or modify the time and location of the start or cancel the event without prior notice due to severe weather conditions or other unexpected conditions.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Children under the age of 14 can take part in Bükki Kilátások Sprint Trail only if they are accompanied by an adult.
- Children under the age of 18 can not participate in Bükki Kilátások Hard and Fun run trails.
- There is a rest area with shower access in the Start/Finish area.
- Course marking: The course is marked with its very own ribbons and signs.
PENALTIES AND DISQUALIFICATION
The course judges are obligated to enforce the race rules and act according to the following rules and regulations:
- Cutting parts of the course – 1 hour penalty
- Cutting a minor switchback – 15 minutes penalty
- Missing mandatory equipment – Immediate disqualification
- Preventing or refusing the equipment check – Immediate disqualification
- Littering – Immediate disqualification
- Disrespectful behavior (with volunteers or other runners) – Immediate and lifelong disqualification from all events organized by Bükk Trails
- Cheating (using any vehicles, changing bibs etc.) – Immediate and lifelong disqualification
- Covering the bib – 15 minutes penalty
- Bib worn improperly – 15 minutes penalty
- Skipping a checkpoint. – Immediate disqualification
- Ignoring or violating the instructions of any personnel (medical staff, station captain, organizer) – Immediate disqualification
- Omitting to provide first aid – Immediate disqualification
All other cases not discussed above will be judged by the organizers.
APPEAL
A written objection must be submitted within 2 hours following the finish. It costs 5,000 HUF which is non-refundable if the complaint is not acknowledged.
Modifications to the course and locations, cancelling the event
Organizers reserve the right to change or alter any parts of the course, places of aid stations, checkpoints or modify the time and location of the start or cancel the event without prior notice due to severe weather conditions or other unexpected conditions.
Animals
- No dogs or other pets are allowed over the course.
Newsletter
- By registering to the event, the participant automatically subscribes to the Bükk Trails’ newsletter.
Responsibility
- The organizers are not taking any responsibility for the accidents or damages caused by the unpreparedness, negligence or improvidence of the participant.
Photos, videos
- By registering to the event the participant acknowledges that photos and videos could be taken of the participant. These photos and videos are at the organizer’s disposal and can be submitted to third parties.
